Alain Municipality - United Arab Emirates (ALAIN)
Principles of Health and Safety – 3-Day Course (23-25 May 2009)
The course was delivered by Hasan AlAradi, RRC's Managing Director, in the Rotana Hotel and was attended by engineers working for Alain Municipality. The course was designed specifically for the Municipality engineers to help them recognise the importance of health and safety and enable them to design and maintain a successful management system. It will also help them to manage contractors' activities as they perform contractual services and projects for the UAE government.
OMIFCO – Sur, Sultanate of Oman
Accident Investigation – 2-Day Course (30-31 May 2009)
Held at the OMIFCO plant in Sur, this course was designed and delivered by Hasan AlAradi for the plant's middle management team who are responsible for investigating accidents. It covered all the essential theory of accident investigation, as well as providing guidance on the practical application of internationally-recognised investigation and analysis techniques. Participants were very active and found the course to be highly informative.
OMIFCO – Sur, Sultanate of Oman
Risk Assessment – 4-Day Course (1-4 June 2009)
Held at the OMIFCO plant in Sur, this course was designed for all Process, Operations and Maintenance Engineers and Safety Officers to help the company establish a risk assessment programme. It included procedure development for internal risk assessment activities, various techniques in conducting risk assessments (such as fault tree analysis, event tree analysis and Hazop) as well as qualitative risk assessment. The 16 participants were engaged in actual plant visits to conduct risk assessments, followed by group discussions on the findings and the development of corrective actions.
Mr Mohammed AlMasroory (Safety Manager at OMIFCO) stated that the course was highly commended by all participants and revealed plans to re-run the course for another group in October 2009.
RRC ME have developed a partnership with OMIFCO to help develop and further their safety standards and held several basic safety training courses last year at the OMIFCO plant. This is an on-going programme that both parties are happy to see progress and positive results have already been identified.

Bahrain Airport Services (BAS)
BAS manage and maintain the hugely complex infrastructure of Bahrain's international airport, providing high quality ground services for all the passengers and aircraft passing through the terminal. RRC Middle East conducted initial training support for OHSAS 18001 implementation and continue to provide on-going training for their safety management system, in addition to other safety training requirements.

Haji Hassan Readymix
One of Bahrain's leading manufacturers of ready mix concrete, Haji Hassan Readymix have been at the forefront of the industry in Bahrain for over 20 years, manufacturing to strict guidelines and specifications laid down by the Bahraini Authorities. They are capable of producing between 800 and 1200 cubic metres of concrete a day. RRC Middle East have undertaken a major support programme including safety training for all Haji Hassan Readmix employees, and the development of the company's health and safety policies and procedures.

John Harris Architects Engineers Design and Planning Consultants – Villamar Fire Safety Audit
This really exciting project covering a site of 32,000 square metres included the design and construction of a leisure and retail complex which has as its crowning glory, three 54-storey buildings, called the 'Twisting Towers'. RRC was commissioned by the design consultants, John Harris, to provide a comprehensive fire safety audit of the buildings. The audit included a full review of the construction plans and all fire safety elements associated with the construction of the towers.

Sungwon Construction Company – Isa Town Flyover Junction
This major three-year construction project was worth over 42 million Bahraini Dinars and employed up to 600 employees at its peak. RRC was contracted to develop and implement the health and safety policies and procedures for the project as well as provide a permanent, safety team of four men to manage the on-site safety programme.
