Hasan Alaradi MSc DipSM CMIOSH MIIRSM
Managing Director/Lead H&S Consultant/Tutor
The team is led by RRC Middle East Managing Director, Hasan Alaradi, one of a handful of Bahraini-based IOSH Chartered Safety Practitioners. He has over 25 years of safety management experience in the aluminium and petroleum industries and trained in the UK and USA. Hasan was awarded his MSc in Safety Technology and Risk Management and his Diploma in Safety Management from the UK's prestigious Aston University. He also holds a number of overseas qualifications in fire safety management, oil incident management, accident investigation and radiological safety. He is fluent in Arabic and English.
Zainab Ali MAAT
Training Coordinator
Zainab studied for the internationally recognised Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) with Ernst and Young and is now studying for her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance at Al-Ahlya University in Sudan.
Sumaya Hassan M Ibrahim BSc
Business Development
Before joining RRC Middle East, Sumaya worked for Schlumberger Oil Field Services initially as a QHSE Supervisor and later as an Environmental Specialist/Auditor, working in Sudan, Egypt, Syria and finally Bahrain.
Mona Al-Hawaj
Graduated from University of Bahrain with a B.Sc. degree in Accounting.
Currently attending professional Certificate – ACCA with Ernest & Young.
Adel Ali Salman BSc MBA Tech IOSH
H&S Consultant/Tutor
An engineer by training, Adel moved into a safety role with ALBA becoming SHE Superintendent of their Power Generation Group in 2004. He regularly gives lectures on safety issues for RRC and is fluent in Arabic and English.
Hasan Al-Shaikh DipPharm Tech IOSH
H&S Consultant/Tutor
Hasan is an occasional lecturer with RRC ME following his retirement as Head of Safety for ALBA in 2007, having worked for the company for over 30 years. He has a wealth of safety experience and a particular interest in occupational hygiene as a result of his earlier career in pharmaceutical medicine. His occupational hygiene training was gained in the UK and USA between 1982 and 1996 where he studied general occupational hygiene, respiratory protection, ergonomics, noise control, asbestos management, and industrial ventilation.
Haitham Alnoami DipEng Tech IOSH
H&S Consultant/Tutor
Haitham has been part of the RRC tutor team for over two and-a-half years, joining RRC in 2006 from ALBA where he was SHE Co-ordinator. Prior to this he held safety training roles with the Almanar Institute and was Safety Officer for Projects SA, Bahrain. An accomplished trainer, Haitham is fluent in Arabic, English and Hindi and has particular experience in safety management systems and traffic accident investigation.
David Towlson BSc PhD MIOSH
RRC Training Lead Tutor
David trained as an industrial research chemist and spent 7 years with the international giant Courtaulds, first as a research development scientist and later as a safety manager. He joined RRC Training UK as Lead Tutor in 2005, later becoming a Director of the company. He is a regular contributor to the RRC NEBOSH Diploma training and is one of NEBOSH's external examiners for the Diploma.
Jim Phelpstead BSc PhD CMIOSH
H&S Consultant/Tutor
Jim originally trained as a crop plant geneticist before changing career to work in the food industry. He has worked for many years as a health and safety manager in blue chip food manufacturing companies throughout the UK.
John Leigh BSc CEng CMIOSH MIMM MIIRSM
H&S Consultant/Tutor
John started his career in the mining industry and occupied a number of safety-related roles before becoming a safety engineer with British Coal. He has worked in the field of safety for over 25 years, of which he spent the last 15 as a safety consultant and trainer working with both private and public sector organisations.
Malcolm Rimmer BA Dip Health & Safety Dip Acoustics AMIOA
H&S Consultant/Tutor
Malcolm started his career as a local authority sewerage treatment Inspector. Subsequently, he spent 8 years as an Inspector in the construction and manufacturing sectors with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). He now works as a health and safety consultant and trainer, is a registered noise consultant, qualified psychologist and holds a certificate in stress counselling.
